Vera Benis discovered her love for swimming in 2014 when she joined FINS, and it didn’t take long for the sport to become a huge part of her life. In 2016, she started swimming with the Memorial Northwest Marlins and spent eight years with the team, where she not only improved her skills but also developed a real passion for competition. In 2022, she joined the year-round OHANA swim team, where she learned new ways to improve her technique and loves sharing tips with others to help them get better too.
Now a student at Klein High School, Vera is on track to graduate in 2028. Outside of swimming, she loves spending time with her family, listening to music, and going to the beach whenever she can. Looking ahead to the 2025 Marlins season, Vera is excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to see how much she’ll grow in the pool!
